I am quick to defend Mr. Beck in most cases. But this sweater just doesn’t cut it. Glenn should take style tips from Bill O’Reilly, who has some very fine threads.

Tuesday, August 2, 2005The Nation of Islam still maintains rules such as a ban on interracial dating, a dress code for women (including head coverings and no makeup or tight clothing) and a focus on traditional gender roles within the family.

I suppose if you were on topic, you’d have a real coup there, Righter. As usual, you’re not even close. The topic is Beck’s hideous sweater that makes him look bloated and dimitted. It’s a funny story.

And not a work about the substance of his show, which was GREAT. I’m not surprised.

MichelleF – Beck tells you “What’s coming, ” “what you need to know” and “what you need to do” and that you tea-baggers need to “transform” yourself (I’m not touching that one) And now he’s decided that he needs to “teach you how to teach others” but of course what he is going to “teach you” is what he believes important (Yikes!) AND, its for sale. So I suppose if you are a member of the Glenn Beck cult you might find something of substance there, most cult followers, well, just follow. My advice, get as far away from GB as possible, and good luck.

I’d guess that in real life, the sweater probably looks good on him. It’s not exactly my color, but he looks comfortable and like any other Dad at a kid’s birthday party. What’s “wrong” is that it is distracting as Glynnis notes and the contrast with the background, sort of makes it look like he’s in front of a green screen.

I read “Christmas Sweater” by Glenn Beck. It was a fabulous story and should be put on any school’s reading list.

As for Mr. Beck’s sweater, I would rather look at it than Nancy Pelosi’s face any day. I’ll bet “the cocoanut with teeth” is especially hard to look at in the morning.
