Amy Poehler Returns! With Another SNL Cast Reunion, And A Kiss From Timberlake

Who doesn’t love Amy Poehler? The sly blonde pixie is amongst the favorite SNL alums these days, universally liked with her adorable grin, great comic presence and fabulous half-Canadian family (Will Arnett, yo). Last night marked her triumphant return to SNL as host, wherein she not only showed herself to be both capable of a fabulous star turn in addition to her natural ensemble-player flair, but also a team player — as in, bringing back the old team (again) for a fun, cameo-laden SNL.

In this great dream-sequence in the opening monologue, Poehler (and SNL) brought back Tina Fey, Jimmy Fallon and fan favorite Rachel Dratch, plus Maya Rudolph in the next sketch for “Bronx Beat” – and Justin Timberlake, who by now might as well be a cast member. If you were expecting an impartial review of Amy’s monologue, sorry. I love her. I know you do too. Even Timberlake had a tough time pretending she was hard to smooch. Watch below.

The Gay Wedding at the Mosque at Ground Zero pretty much wrapped all the reactionary paranoia into one package. When SNL is laughing at you… hard… it’s a good indication that you’re on the losing side. Have a nice November… see you in 2012. ;-)

I attempted to watch as much as SNL as I could last night. It’s been nearly 10 years since the last time I caught the show. What a joke and not in a good way. It was an hour of juvenile dialogue about gays, the GOP and farting. The entertainment was Katy Perry, who couldn’t hold a note and completely ptchy. This is the single reason why Comcast fired Jeff Zucker.

I feel the same way about Ms. Rachel Sklar for standing up for simple human decency and fairness at the Huffington Post at the same time.

I call bullshit on this post. The only people who use the term “wilding” are racists who long for the days of racist hysteria in the infamous case of a white jogger who was raped in Central Park two decades ago. I call bullsh!t on this commenter calling bullsh!t. Has he been appointed the official custodian of the word “wilding,” noting when, where, and by whom it is and may be used, and what a person means when using it?

The word was used often when there were many gang attacks in Central Park, and it’s still heard from time to time to refer to such attacks. The term is one that the participants themselves used to describe their actions.

Speaking of words, this commenter sure throws around the word “racist” a lot…
