Dr. Laura Caller Speaks Out: “I Didn’t Want To Turn This Into A Racial Thing”

video

While Sarah Palin remains a big fan of Dr. Laura Schlessinger dropping a few n-bombs to a caller on her radio show, the caller who needed the advice did not take the whole experience so well.

She spoke out today to CNN, saying she thinks Dr. Laura “apologized because she got caught.”

Nita Hanson told T.J. Holmes about the experience. “After speaking with Dr. Laura, I was so confused, I was hurt,” she said. “I didn’t want to turn this into a racial thing. I just wanted some advice on my relationship.”

Dr. Laura gave a statement to CNN, apologizing to Hanson, but Hanson wasn’t ready to accept any apology (also, she noted Dr. Laura hadn’t reached out to her specifically). “I called for help and there’s nothing she can say to me at this point,” said Hanson, later saying she thinks “she apologized because she got caught.”

Considering Dr. Laura said she’s quitting her show so she can “regain” her first amendment rights, it’s not hard to disagree with that sentiment. A CNN graphic also noted Hanson “is against using the n-word.”
