Glenn Beck To James Cameron: “Yes, I Did Call You The Antichrist”

So today brought news that James Cameron thinks Glenn Beck is a “f*cking a**hole.” But not for any of the usual reasons that people usually give when they explain their strong dislike for the Fox host: Cameron specifically hates Beck because of that one time when Beck called him the Antichrist to his face. Or did he, as Beck asks on his show tonight? *Spoiler alert*: He totally did. But not to his face.

What’s odd here is how Beck seems to be mocking himself: “I didn’t know anyone could be in the running for Antichrist!” Well, that’s what you just quoted yourself in saying. To be fair, after hearing that Celine Dion song all through 1997, half of America probably thought similarly. Oh well, at least Michael Moore still likes you, Mr. Cameron!

(By the way, we totally called the 3-d glasses portion of this show earlier today.)

Oh how I would love to watch Beck have Cameron on his show… And then destroy him with facts, while Cameron cowered in a corner sucking his thumb… But alas…It will never be… Once placed on the spot, in front of millions of people, actors and directors hide like Al Gore does in a random interview about his false numbers on global warming.

I’m with you Stephen. These people demonize and name call anyone that does not think like them. Yet if you make a remark about them you’re the one that is a hater! Call me the Anti Christ, and I will tell you how wrong you are! Not call you names. I guess maybe the truth? hurts? Don’t get me started about Al Gore!!!

Ok, I’m confused now. Cameron said those who disagree with global warning should be shot. Is that as hateful as shouting “kill the bill”. I’m having trouble with the new “rules” and need help!

    @MichelleF

It’s only a hateful speech if a conservative says it. where have you been?

    ;-D

Cameron said those who disagree with global warning should be shot.

No Cameron said, “I want to call those deniers out into the street at high noon and shoot it out with those boneheads.”

Which is a stupid comment as well.

Maybe he just wanted to play some hoops, geez guys.

I’m starting to see why Rachel & the seven dwarfs at MSNBC are so obsessed with Beck:

….not because he teaches American political history better than most any university….

….not because he has enormous ratings & they are green with envy….

It is because Glenn Beck actually entertains us & they know they have no hope of ever doing that.

Actually what Cammeron really said is in the link I posted above which has a transcript of the interview. But what I wonder it why Newsbusters choose to crop the quote and twist its meaning. Wasn’t what Cammeron said stupid and ojectional enough to criticize him. Why bother to change it? It just damages Newsbusters credibility when they do that.

“And I told you that ‘God Is My Co-Pilot’ and lotsa other neato stuff. And that Jeesuss is a valuable crutch for the hatred which we forever foment and spread. And that the Bible is a super duper document to control the silly masses. And that we Mormons have a neato tradition of wearing tight-fitting harness-like underwear in order to ‘thwart all untoward urges.’ (Joseph Smith, [sic]. And that we are well on our way – with God’s help – to unifying the white evengelical racists, the Latinos, the never-serve war-lovers, into one giant seething voting bloc. And won’t that be grand?? And that angels can REALLY fly – and all sorts of other fun stuff!”

    “Stay tuned. And praise Jeesussah!!”

    Nachi,
You’re at it again. Not only do you feel some particular religious groups shouldn’t be able to be involved in politics, but you also seem to feel they don’t have a right to be in the public eye– in any way. So where in your comment is some substantive contribution to the discussion. I do hear people make comments like yours, but they can’t legally drive. Say something useful. “Beck should be more considerate of people.” or “Cammeron needs to get a sense of humor.” But stop calling people names, please. PLEASE.
