Journalists Full of Questions as Eichenwald Tweets That He Has a Big Trump Reveal for Tomorrow
In response to the news that Dr. Oz will be revealing Donald Trump‘s medical records on his talk show, Kurt Eichenwald posted a series of tweets today that really got political and journalism nerds buzzing.
WHY ARE WE TAKING THIS SERIOUSLY??? A reality TV star running for prez is having his medical condition reviewed by a daytime talk show host!
— Kurt Eichenwald (@kurteichenwald) September 13, 2016
Dr Oz conflict: “I will appear on your show but I decide what questions u ask. If Im on, your ratings will be HUUGE and you’ll make more $.”
— Kurt Eichenwald (@kurteichenwald) September 13, 2016
Trump ppl STILL saying Hillary has to release more medical records from a real internist while Trump will only let a talk show host see his.
— Kurt Eichenwald (@kurteichenwald) September 13, 2016
I’d be more interested in seeing what Dr. Phil, the psychiatrist, has to say about Trump.
— Kurt Eichenwald (@kurteichenwald) September 13, 2016
Dr. Oz says won’t ask Trump “questions he doesn’t want to have answered.” If Trump doesn’t release medical records, he must be hammered.

If u KNOW info on Trump’s med condition or taxes, email junk email addres, kurteichenwald@gmail.com. I must know who u are, but I wont tell.

After that rant, he suddenly switched gears:
My big cover story in @Newsweek that could change the dialogue about this election season will be published online tomorrow.
— Kurt Eichenwald (@kurteichenwald) September 13, 2016
He tweeted this, then deleted it:

Later, he clarified that the two topics were unrelated:
Folks: I don’t have story coming out tomorrow that Trump had a breakdown. Order of tweets confused ppl I believe. Topic is other major thing
— Kurt Eichenwald (@kurteichenwald) September 13, 2016
It was too little, too late, though. He’d already gotten a lot of his contemporaries wondering what on earth he is planning for tomorrow and whether he knows for a fact that Trump had a breakdown of some sort:
Kurt Eichenwald found out that Donald Trump does steroids

[because that’s the kind of claim that deserves way more than a tweet]

that silence you hear online is probably an editor yelling at someone on the phone

@morninggloria Eichenwald Day has become too commercial for me. We’re losing sight of its true meaning.

Whatever tomorrow’s big scoop is, it better have been worth this.
