Keith Olbermann Tweets For the First Time…That He Knows of

To much fanfare and celebration, Countdown host Keith Olbermann joined White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs and NBC Chief White House Correspondent Chuck Todd in the fraternity of formerly reluctant Twitter users. He kicked off his brave new era of social networking by sending out his first tweet live, on his show.

Of course, this isn’t Keith’s first brush with Twitter, but we’ll get to that after you watch that historic first tweet, witnessed by uber-geek John Hodgman.

Olbermann quickly accumulated followers, at last count amassing almost 10,000, but we’ll have to see how long it takes him to eclipse Gibbs’ 53,027.

Of course, this isn’t technically Keith’s first Twitter account. What makes his conversion so amazing is that just over a year ago, Keith was busy naming Twitter the “Worst Person in the World!”

The “phony account” turned out to be a legitimate one set up for the show by MSNBC, and the whole thing was a big misunderstanding. Redstate raked Keith over the coals for awhile, and a good time was had by all.

Now that Keith knows he’s on Twitter, I expect this go-round will be a lot smoother.

Unfortunately for Keith, tweets can’t be longer than 40 characters. So how can he offer up a typical tweet, such as “Scott Brown we have an irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, teabagging supporter of violence against woman and against politicians with whom he disagrees.”

You will need to be more pity, Keith — if I can borrow a word favored by another cable news host.

Keith Olbermann – What a joke

The left keeps saying you have two choices –The Republicans who = Big Business and the Democrat’s who = Big Government.

Castro = Big Government

Why don’t you Dems have any pride! Are you that weak? Are you unable to take care of yourself and your family? Where is yourself respect? Do you really want to put your hand in the pocket of another man? Shame on you and those like you that would rather have a hand out than a hand up.
All those so called rich Repubs did not start out that way? They were hard for what they have earned. Good for them. Now go get yours.
By the way, Republicans give nearly 2/3s more to charity each year then Dems. It is nice to have the freedom to choose which charity you donate too, instead of the government deciding for you.
