Military Insider Suggests Pentagon Already Looking Into McChrystal Replacement

Earlier today Rolling Stone released an interview with General Stanley McChrystal in which the the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan criticized the Obama administration’s handling of Iraq. The conflict between US Army General stationed in the theater of war and the White House has been the top news story of the day, and already lead to speculation that McChrystal will be replaced, so claims his former colleague Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer on Fox News.

During the 12:00 hour today, Jon Scott interviewed Shaffer, who now currently works for the mysteriously named entity “Center for Advanced Studies.” Shaffer provided a lot of interesting context to this news, namely that McChrystal’s criticism is symptomatic of larger policy struggles between the Administration and military command in the theater, but also the Pentagon and Generals stationed overseas.

Scott asked Shaffer the question that is on everyone’s mind, namely will McChrystal survive this brewing controversy. Shafer didn’t demure, saying that “names are being bounced around” and that “if they are talking about replacements then its not a good sign.”

If in fact McChrystal is forced out by this article, it will be a stunning development for the serious journalists at Rolling Stone, who is, as of the time of publishing this post, still promoting their Lady Gaga article far more than this story.

Its obvious that McChystal wanted to make a statement and he has. The writer read his quotes back to McChrystal and he didn’t retract them. Now, he needs to resign and go on to other things.

We all know that BHO is losing the war.

Thousands of people in the Pentagon have the job of developing contingency plans. Day in and day out that is their job.

“Daddy, did you plug that hole yet?”

Colby, I’m curious what the point of this sentence is.

Obama has had complete indifference in ending these two Arab wars. The party likes having a war as a backdrop for other Democratic agendas. Neither Gates nor Obama have donned a uniform and fought on foreign soil. Maybe they should give it a try and stand in line when they want to express their views and “how the war is going”. The ludicrous part of it all is that the Liar in Chief was going to end these Arab wars in Afghanistan and Iraq once he finagled the votes to sit in the big house. It’s been 18 months, so you’re in there and why don’t you fulfill the campaign promises that got you elected. Because he is a liar and that’s why he’ll not be a soldier, just another parasitic career politician spending taxpayer’s money to fund his own agenda.

I have to agree with temple62. They want to dismiss McChrystal for voicing his opinion and telling the truth about Obama and his cronies while Obama continues to lie to the American people without repercussions. Most likely he isn’t the only military man who feels this way.

McChrystal’s the best man for the job right now, but because Obama was “offended” by his comments he is willing to put our soldiers in jeopardy. How selfish is that?

Why, we’ve had predictably fabulous success in BushDrunks’ (2 of em) Iraq. They love us. We have rebuilt the country. We have slaughtered zillions. We have left a wound that will remain raw and open for decades to come. They are a Democarcy. They are Christianized. Never has Murcuh stood taller. Now it’s on to Afghan & Pakistan. and even reater victories by our “Patriots” and “heroes.” You go, McNoOne.

What is this “temple62″ that vomits here??
