Oprah Gets Rare “First And Last” Interview With Erin Andrews About Peep Video
ESPN reporter Erin Andrews is taking her illegal peephole video reaction story to Oprah Winfrey‘s couch, in an interview that was taped last week and will air September 11.
In a rare move, the interview is being described as the “first and last time” she will address the video. The power of Oprah – she not only gets it first and exclusive, but “last.”
Despite it being an ESPN reporter, and an ABC show, the news was first reported by Sports Illustrated‘s Richard Deitsch – and, like most things these days, via Twitter.
In an ABC release, the interview is billed as:
ESPN’s Erin Andrews speaks out for what she calls “the first and last time” about the peephole video filmed without her knowledge and circulated on the Internet.
Other guests on the show, in separate stories, include Lisa Ling and “Father Oprah” Alberto Cutie.
According to the AP report on the interview, Andrews describes the ordeal as a “nightmare” – but no other major information is given.
What will be more interesting is not the Oprah interview, but the reaction when she begins working again. And that happens even earlier – the AP report says the Andrews will be the sideline reporter for Thursday’s South Carolina/North Carolina State college football game. The reaction from the fans, and seeing how Andrews handles being back on the field after nearly two months off the air, will be very telling.
