Sarah Palin Speaks At Nevada’s “Showdown At Searchlight” Rally

video

Well no one can say Sarah Palin is slacking off: Directly after speaking at a rally with John McCain out in Arizona, the upcoming reality TV show star and Fox News pundit sped directly to Searchlight, NV, home of Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid for a tea party rally that some are calling “the Conservative Woodstock” but which Palin herself referred to as “the Showdown at Searchlight.”

It’s a windy day, and Palin has to cling to her script for dear life, because unlike Barack Obama (as she points out) she has to use “a poor man’s teleprompter.” Her rhetoric is as engrossing as ever: talking to an audience who began arriving in “caravans” earlier in the day, Palin spoke to the crowd about putting the economy as our top priority and the passing of the “three trillion dollar European-style health care scheme called ‘Obamacare.’” Other topics of the day included: freedom, Nancy Pelosi, and not inciting violence upon liberals because “it’s nothing a good old-fashioned election can’t fix.”

Her speech got 19 minutes on Fox News?
I’ve been out in real life all day, did the other two news channels give it extended coverage?

Back in the day, these kinds of things were only on C-SPAN and personally, unless they are going to give commercial free segments to the Greens, Libertarians or any of the other potential Republican candidates, somebody should ask everyone who broadcast the speech, why she was given special treatment.

I mean, it’s not like there are people with Fox, who don’t have C-SPAN.

    She’s a famous public figure… and it’s a Saturday.

Oh, and she works at Fox News.

  • Big_F-ing_Deal

FOX correspondent: There was an “extreme” about of people there on “this very historic day, indeed”. LMFAO

@SWWT: I’m sure Ralph Nader, Mitt Romney and/or Mike Huckabee have all spoke on a Saturday. Nader was arguably as famous as Palin, when he was running for President; Romney is the Republican front-runner and Huckabee actually has a show on Fox, he’s not somebody they only pull in for commentary.

And again, I don’t know because I was out all day, but did the other stations give her 19 mins?

PS) Oh and BTW, the guy running under what he calls the “Tea Party of Nevada” for Harry Reid’s seat, Scott Ashjian hasn’t been endorsed by the Tea Party or the convention to which Palin spoke and it seems that most folks are thinking that he’s just trying to claim the name, which pretty much makes him a non-candidate.

I listened to the whole thing, but I can’t figure who she’s telling me to do violence against. Oh, well. No worries. I’m sure the media will explain her hidden meaning to me so that I have my violent marching orders from the leader I blindly follow.

CNN’s Frederika Whitfield reported “hundreds, maybe dozens of people”. Can you believe that kind of blatant lying from CNN? It has become cable news nonsense; nothing said on CNN can be trusted anymore. And they wonder why their ratings are in the pits?

  • Big_F-ing_Deal

CNN was right. There was “dozens” of people there.

    The rest were teabaggers.

HOW is it possible to be this stupid? Listening to her is a lesson in jaw dropping. I’ve listened to her quite a bit as I believe you should listen to all sides, and she has never convinced me, or anyone I know including the Republicans I know, that she has one single firing neuron. She is a moron. Wow. She can’t string two sentences together that make any sense.

You obviously have never heard Obama attempt to speak off prompter.

Obama – They bring a knife, you bring a GUN!

Hundreds of people, at least dozens of people…..CNN
    20,000 attended…..Politico

The truth is somewhere in the middle.

The degree of abject terror felt by the liberal left-wing losers in this country for Sarah Palin is absolutely amazing. Of course, it is understandable when you compare the average frumpy, overweight, unattractive, loud-mouthed, poorly dressed liberal female to Sarah, who a lady at all times. Then, there are the ‘girly men’ so prevalent in the in the liberal left-wing set. Their little goatees, unruly hair, inundating lisps, and indignant spittle flying all around… No, I guess their terror is not so hard to understand, after all.

Just wondering if anyone here read the whole story in Politico.com?

They never reported their own number count-only ” estimated by organizers at 20,000 ”

    On the other hand
Las Vega Sun: About 8,000 people were at the event as of 2 p.m., according to an estimate from Metro Police spokesman Jay Rivera. Traffic at one time was backed up about five miles from Searchlight.

Most Say Tea Party Has Better Understanding of Issues than Congress

Enjoy! (Oh and why you enjoy, remember that Rasmussen polls likely voters)

  • tjl

And remember that Rasmussen works for the GOP! Have a good night, MichelleF!

Ha! You don’t get out much do you Halo? You country bumpkin. We elites love to spit on the little folk like you. And our women are beautiful. But, liberal men don’t care for women with mustaches. To each his own, right? Double chins? Not our thing! So if that’s your thing, you’re right, our women aren’t beautiful. Love, A Big City feller!

  • HALO101st

Tjl, you are nothing more than an adolescent who has yet to learn that when you resort to name calling and replacing fact with nonsense, the primary directive of EVERY liberal, you have already lost the battle and you become nothing more than boring.
Incidentally, I must have really struck a nerve with my very apt description of liberal “women” and liberal ‘girly men.’ Don’t know which you are, but then again, it does not matter with the liberal left, does it. One is male by nature and regrets it, and one is male in nature. Elite? Make that disgusting.

“The degree of abject terror felt by the liberal left-wing losers in this country for Sarah Palin is absolutely amazing.

It’s hilarious that the butt-hurt Right have suffered loss after loss since the election but they swear we on the left are afraid of them.

It reminds me of the Monty Python “King Arthur” movie where the Black Knight keeps getting his limbs chopped off as he screams “Fight me you chickenly COWARDS!!”.

  • HALO101st

…and the left-wing backers that boot-lipped socialist in the White House are all “Ka-niggets” pretending to be riding horses while their lackeys behind them click coconuts together to make the sound of horses hooves.

Get over yourselves, little socialists, you will be the majority for seven more short months and then we will put you so far out of power you will need air pumped back to you. Count on it, sporto.

Ok, so I watched this lame event on C-SPAN – what a waste of time. The most amusing thing was watching Not so Breitbart offer a $100,000 reward for video of what John Lewis and other witnesses said about spitting and racial epithets by teabaggers at the capitol. CNN has the video, when will Not so Breitbart pay up?
