Why Is Christine O’Donnell’s Website Curiously Empty?

Want to know more about Christine O’Donnell, Delaware’s newly-anointed Republican senatorial candidate?

Well, you could comb the internet for videos of O’Donnell appearing on various morning shows—excluding Morning Joe, of course—yesterday. Or you could just plug her name into Google; since the primary, websites (including this one) have been abuzz about O’Donnell, writing about the various controversial statements she’s made to the media over the years.

O’Donnell’s own website, however, won’t be much help. That’s because, as Think Progress’s Alex Seitz-Wald noticed yesterday, O’Donnell’s site has been stripped of everything but a button encouraging visitors to donate to her campaign.

Google’s cache shows that as of Tuesday night, the site had a lot more to it—tabs called “About Christine,” “Endorsements,” and “Why Christine?” as well as links to O’Donnell’s social media pages and contact information.

It seems that as O’Donnell has come under increased scrutiny, she and her campaign have decided to overhaul the site—perhaps they intend to make it more comprehensive, or more elaborate. Or maybe they’ve stripped the site to its bare bones in an attempt to make sure their opponents have less ammunition to use against O’Donnell.

Is this a good move for O’Donnell, or does the site clearance allow the rest of the media to control the conversation about her?

“Or maybe they’ve stripped the site to its bare bones in an attempt to make sure their opponents have less ammunition to use against O’Donnell.”

Can they get rid of the entire Internet?

Anyone who wants to get a real picture of this woman can find it easily!! I see this morning that Palin’s influence in the general election is going to take a hit, wonder what O’Donnel will do now? She outpalined Palin with her wacky ideas, and she made them plenty available, I guess Palin was smart enough not to put her wackiest ideas in print or she wouldn’t have been around this long!

My money would be on her website undergoing an “Anglization“.

seeing that she raked in over 750k in one day, i’d say the website she has up now is working just fine.

@bugspot1: I don’t have any statistics on hand, but I assume that most candidates revamp their websites as the position themselves for the general election. The couple of “Tea Partiers” changes may have been more noticeable because a larger swath of media is trying to learn more about the candidates, so they clicked and since anything can become a headline, it may have been easier to start from scratch.

Of course, we have reason to believe that was the case with Ms Angle and though we’re just guessing about Ms O’Donnell, her could have also been stripped because the dirt miners overwhelmed her host’s server.

If your standard for success is generating income… informing the electorate on policy positions and related arguments is more important… The scrubbing of actual information highlights her priorities.

Does this woman really want us to believe that she’s NEVER HAD AN ORGASM!?!?!??!

I don’t trust anyone who is that old and hasn’t had an orgasm.

I bet the stress is about to make her BLOW UP

Well, considering that her web site crashed yesterday due to all the donations coming in, maybe a slim site as it is now, is appropriate. And as for the press asking where any info is, that is a joke because they seem to be pretty good at smearing her without any information.
By the way, I think she just raised $1 million dollars… yes, $1,000,000 in about 24 hours…
http://www.christine2010.com now at $980k at the moment.
So, on one side we have the biased lemming press, the liberal hating dolts and the scummy backstabbing establishment Republicans… who, in total, probably number in the hundreds
and on the other side we have hundreds of thousands of average Americans donating small amounts of money to her in such numbers that in 24 hours it totals almost $1 million.
Who do you think smells like cow dung drying in the field?
I think I see a few cow dung smelling lemming press, liberal dolts and Republican backstabbers.

Hillary You do not have enough to do.

If you had just won an election that you were not suppose to win…wouldn’t you revamp your web site?

Stay away from Think Progress’s Alex Seitz-Wald, he makes you look like a loon….Maybe you are…if so, he justs adds to it.

The only information that matters on Ms. O’Donnell’s website is the amount of money raised. Since Tuesday that number has gone straight up, a good sign for Ms. O’Donnell and conservatives.

  • ksecus

The Palin clone doesnt read websites because shes too busy trying to look exactly like Caribou Barbie.

  • ksecus

This lady got like 20 thousand votes and all of a sudden shes Margaret Thatcher of conservativeworld. Talk about hungry for legitamacy.

Just watched a few videos of her on Youtube. Dems are making a huge mistake if they underestimate the appeal of this woman and think showing old videos and painting her as a religious kook is all it takes. The truth is they will have a hard time defending what is going on in Washington and she is a excellent speaker with the ability to connect to the average person.
