World’s Longest-Married Couple Used Twitter To Give Valentine’s Day Advice

Herbert and Zelmyra Fisher were married in 1924, so they’ve had their fair share of Valentine’s Days. This year, they heard all the kids and grandkids (and great-grandkids?) were using this newfangled Twitter and so the centenarian pair took to the service to give love advice in 140 characters bursts.

Somehow, the UK on-demand video site blinkbox, hungry for media attention, secured the couple for an afternoon of mindcasting about relationships and the 1940s. The couple fielded 14 carefully curated questions (none on the invention of Viagra made the cut) over the span of about an hour.

Below is the first question and answer, but be warned — it only gets cuter as they go. If you’re a sucker or alone today, be careful.

You missed your chance to ask a question of your own, but you can read the rest of their wisdom here.
