On Wednesday Night’s Countdown on Current, Keith Olbermann named Congressman Brad Drake as one of his “Worst Persons In The World” for sponsoring legislation to replace lethal injection as a execution method with electrocution or a firing squad. Drake had said if it was up to him, he would “throw them off the Sunshine Skyway Bridge and be done with it.” Olbermann responded, “You first, asshole!”

Between talk of testosterone and Jackie Kennedy, Bill Maher brought up the new Sarah Palin biography containing all sorts of odd, politically irrelevant rumors about the former governor’s life. After some initial hesitation, Keith Olbermann surprised himself by defending Palin against the rumors.

Conservatives and liberals alike will find their blood boiling when watching the following video, in which Keith Olbermann delivers what he calls a “Special Comment” on the Tea Party’s midterm election candidates. In this nearly 20 minute-long segment, the Countdown host recites a long list of the movement’s affronts to progressivism before ending with a plea for all liberals, Democrats, disillusioned Republicans, moderates, and political neutrals to vote against the Tea Party next Tuesday.
