Baltimore Commish Responds to ‘Hyperbole’ from Anonymous Police Officers

battsBaltimore Police Commissioner Anthony Batts responded to multiple anonymous Baltimore officers speaking publicly to trash police leadership, say morale’s in the gutter, and declare that there’s definitely a police slowdown going on.

CNN’s Miguel Marquez asked Batts for his response during a press conference this afternoon. Batts called the question “oxymoronic” before saying, “I don’t worry about hyperbole, I don’t worry about the other stuff that’s going on, the political stuff, my job is to give direction.”

He did speak of the “ethical responsibility” cops have to protect everyone and concluded his remarks by saying, “We get paid to get the job done.”
