Breaking ‘News’: MSNBC’s Ed Schultz Refused To Buy Fox’s Eric Bolling A Drink!

video

In case you haven’t noticed, Fox News does not care much for its competitors. Nor is there any love coming back the other way (although it always seems particularly silly coming from Fox considering, ratings-wise, it’s basically like Goliath refusing to shut up about how much he hates that damn David guy). So, today on The Five, when they took on the story of President Obama meeting with progressive media big wigs, it wasn’t too surprising the direction the segment went. At first things focused on Obama but it was eventually pointed out that, well, President Bush used to do the same exact thing with conservative radio hosts. So then the question became “Fine, Obama meets with liberals. But why’d he have to meet with such losers?!”

Rachel Maddow? Ew! Ed Schultz? Gross! Liberal bloggers? Don’t even name them!

Those people don’t get anywhere near the ratings of Fox News. And, as Eric Bolling pointed out, it gets worse…

“I went over to Del Frisco’s over there and I met Ed Schultz by accident, I bumped into him. I bought him a scotch and, you’d think, being a successful TV guy, he’d buy me a drink back. Greg, he never once offered to buy a drink back.”

Jeez, Mr. Obama. You might as well start hanging out with Occupy Wall Street protesters. Ewwwwwwww!

Seriously, I love so much that the Fox News and MSNBC headquarters are literally across the street from each other. It’s like a town with two high schools. I like to imagine the Fox & Friends gang sneaking into Rockefeller Center at night to spray paint “MSNBC sux!” on the walls while the Morning Joe crowd is simultaneously stealing Fox News’ mascot. To use Bolling’s logic, considering both networks are filled with such successful people, you’d think they’d just get over it. Someone needs to just make them all join an intramural softball league so they can settle it once and for all.

Liberals: generous with your money, thrifty with theirs.

No, but this is kinda stupid anyways.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_3WWXCOIHYBAQCUVFBNBFSRQRA4 Ardiva

    How utterly childish!!

  • Anonymous

I agree, you are kinda stupid! thanks for accepting it .

  • Anonymous

Calling MSNBC a competitor is really stretching it; FNC dominates the others…..dominates.

  • http://www.facebook.com/lewis.reagan Lewis Reagan

    Bolling is a liar

  • Gloves E. Donahue

After 4-5 drinks, Ed starts to snort and paw the floor.

  • Anonymous

That’s because (to accomodate your way of thinking) the left-leaning mainstream media networks – and there are many - have to compete among themselves to attract viewers, whereas Fox (the only “fair and balanced” network) has no competition.

    Happy?  :-)

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_CQWUTBF2KSSVOXCR4PSN66L2PM James

It’s BS I can’t see Ed letting Eric buy a drink. Only I was under the impression that Ed had some kind of drinking problem.

also if even part of that story is true. I think the only resion eric would even buy a drink for Ed. would be to look somewhat superior… You know to try to look like a bigger man when he’s really not.

  • Anonymous

    True that

  • Anonymous

    Yeah we get it.

  • 12voltman1

I agree. it was kind of stupid.

  • 12voltman1

    Been there? Gloves?

  • Anonymous

Shame on Ed Shultz!! Shame on Ed for accepting the drink and/or not pouring it down the drain.

  • Anonymous

    Is this journalism?

  • Anonymous

    thats because its true.

  • AMP2020

They BOTH complete and utter LOSERS. They should hold each other’s hand and jump off a bridge.
Okay, that’s mean. They should just never been heard or seen on tv again.

  • Anonymous

Better than the Communist News Network or No Body Cares.

  • Anonymous

Wow, that’s a joke I haven’t heard since first grade.

  • http://chrisgworld.blogspot.com/ Chris

    I wouldn’t buy either one a drink

  • Anonymous

@snowsoul last year wasnt that long ago was it?

    Unfortunately, yes.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Colleen-Smith/1283636999 Colleen Smith

you see that, keep hanging with me, and you might just get past 6th grade and actually graduate high school, then you can throw away that GED diploma you have hanging over your walmart sofa! I know, I know. No need to thank me! :p

  • 12voltman1

More than half of our tax dollars are for the military.
As you know all of us” liberals” are big war mongers.

  • Anonymous

You are right. Your comment is kinda stupid.

  • Anonymous

A town with two high schools….?
It’s more like a town with one high school and one special needs class.
    MSNBC is a joke.

  • Pablo
  • Pablo

It’s TV. They compete for ratings. Or, in this case, they don’t really compete for ratings.

  • david r

Lighten up.  If someone buys me a drink, I don’t have to reciprocate.  Bolling was trying to be funny.  (Sad, isn’t it?)

  • Pablo

I take it that people don’t often offer to buy you a drink.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_CQWUTBF2KSSVOXCR4PSN66L2PM James

No that would be what I think Eric would try to do.  That or get Ed drunk and make a jackass out of himself. So Eric can have a bigger story to tell.

Like I said I don’t see Ed even being in the same room a fox news guy let alone Eric. But then again I never thought I would see Glen Beck or Bill O Relly go on the Todayshow and promote there books. So who know’s.

Still I would like to see if Ed say’s something about it. Get his take if this is true.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_CQWUTBF2KSSVOXCR4PSN66L2PM James

or thowing it in his face

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_CQWUTBF2KSSVOXCR4PSN66L2PM James

that depends on the drink and what’s in it. I don’t let peolpe I don’t know buy me drinks

  • http://twitter.com/ericbolling ericbolling

True story folks.. sorry to disappoint you liberals who hold Mister Ed in high regard.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_CQWUTBF2KSSVOXCR4PSN66L2PM James

it would be bigger news if they had gotten into a bar fight.

  • 12voltman1
  • Pablo

This is what happens when you use demented sources like: http://theiwt.com/

  • Pablo

Usually, people buy you whatever you’re drinking. But again, you appear to be unfamiliar with the custom.

  • Pablo

A horse is a horse, of course, of course
Unless he’s a big fat jackass.

12 Volt Should Tap Out Now !!

  • LJB57

This bucket of SLUDGE known as Ed Schultz,
is the perfect embodiment of liberalism/nazism.

Disgusting to look at, ludicrous to listen to, and quite mad.

Liberals try to hide it, but their evil always shows through.

  • LJB57

Hey Mediaite where’s your Eric Holder story, you know
the one about Eric being the Mexican drug cartels, man in Washington.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_45S32GWGDRUJIL6E2U4HOZW4BM Bob

“Miami Vice” Bolling is such a crybaby. He’ll go home tonight and pout while applying his spray on tan.

  • Anonymous

I wouldn’t buy you a drink either eric. Because whatever you drink has killed to many of your brain cells.

  • Anonymous

It’s because Fox News is the only source for baggers…. when cnn, nbc, msnbc, cbs, abc = left leaning

  • Anonymous

Liar, liar, pants on fire. Why don’t you tell mommy? After you tattle, let’s meet by the monkey bars

  • Anonymous

MSLSD? A special needs class? Now that’s downright offensive. The clowns at MSLSD are “logically challenged”

  • Anonymous

Yes, because it’s better to receive than to give in the twisted liberal mind. Give me free hand outs says the liberal its Christmas you owe me.

  • Anonymous

Nice mainstream Miami Vice reference, we won’t tell the other campers at OWS you watch mainstream corporate propaganda they might exclude you from the next crack rock circle

  • Joke Scareborough

You have to understand the liberal mindset of Special Ed and the rest of the MessNBC leftist types…they literally hate your guts and everyone else that works for Fox. They hate Republicans and conservatives more than they hate terrorists and America’s enemies.

  • Anonymous

It is right next to the one where is goes after the Bush team for war crimes. Strange how the right wing doesn’t mind his lack of investigative powers on that one

  • Anonymous

But if you watch Fox you are less informed than if you don’t watch any news at all.  Go figure.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_CQWUTBF2KSSVOXCR4PSN66L2PM James

If NBC hate’s Fox, Then why did NBC let Bill O’ Relly come on the Today show and promote his book ? Or let Glen Beck come for a interview ? . They must not hate them to much.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_CQWUTBF2KSSVOXCR4PSN66L2PM James

let’s just say I had a bad night once when I let someone do that.

  • LJB57

Only the enemy(Saddam’s lackey’s), thinks there were any war crimes. You one of them…Clovis?

  • Anonymous

All the libs attacking Bolling, the point of the story is the analogy of the generosity of conservatives compared to the a__hole-nes of liberals.

  • Anonymous

More than half of our tax dollars are for the military. As you know all of us” liberals” are big war mongers.

    Really?which half?

  • Anonymous

Only I was under the impression that Ed had some kind of drinking problem.

Your impression is correct! And that goes hand in glove With Ed the wife Beater

  • Pablo

And because you’re only generous with other peoples’ money.

  • Anonymous

No that would be what I think Eric would try to do.

That or get Ed drunk and make a jackass out of himself.
Ed don’t need no help from Eric to make an a$$ out of himself.

Just google Ed Schultz + drinking

  • Anonymous

This Eric Bolling guy seems real sensitive.  I can’t believe a guy who used to play college football could whine this much.

  • http://www.facebook.com/mark.schubert3 Mark Schubert

Forget the childish whining about the drink.  Bolling just doesn’t seem to get much of anything.  Even Perino was trying to tell him he was wrong about discussing strategy and he wanted none of it.  He just has a warped partisan view that keeps him distant from reality.

  • Pablo

You have some strange little fantasies, Bob.

  • 12voltman1

Cardboard Art? Did you snap that picture and make your own website just for me?

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_CQWUTBF2KSSVOXCR4PSN66L2PM James

I did what you told me. I was joking about the bar fight comment. I didn’t know he did get into a fight in bar.

I did read something on the message boards about Ed getting drunk and got beat up by some little guy. But this and the part about his wife.

  • Anonymous

Is there anyone here who knows how to use apostrophes correctly?

    how’s
    lackey’s
    hate’s
    know’s

Really libs?  Really?  ‘Tis true, Mediaite is the place for crappy libby journ”o”lism and even crappier libby posters.

P.S.  Eric is wrong when he says “successful TV host”, Ed Schultz is insignificant and has been losing to the Race Pimp Sharpton in the ratings.  Look it up.

  • Holistic

Bolling is correct here. Even on thier best nigh MSNBC can’t come close to Fox. Losers going to the losers WH seems apropriate.

  • http://twitter.com/gme11 Gail Evans

Ed Schultz says he’s never met Bolling.  Maybe Bolling drank too much scotch and was hallucinating.

  • Anonymous

    That is why Bush canceled his trip to Switzerland,Saddma’s lackeys the Swiss are not as impressed with his actions as you seem to be. With just a little effort you could be a little informed as to what the rest of the civilized world thinks on the issue.  Not sure if that told you this over at Fox, but the rest of the planet has an opinion when it comes to Americans actions, I know for people like you it is unpatriotic taking into account the rest of the world, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. We lowered ourselves right down to the lackeys you mentioned with our action;
you must be one proud American.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_CQWUTBF2KSSVOXCR4PSN66L2PM James

maybe ed blacked out and don’t remember

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1225943828 Tom Dodamead

Pablo the pie you presented does not reflect the true cost of our military. As in most of the pensions are military, most of the health care is VA,  most of the interest is due to money we spent on wars we did not have. if you add those cost that were really caused by war it is over 50%.

  • LJB57

The Swiss are for sale ,they’re everyone’s lackeys.
    Good Cheese though!
…seem to have a talent for makin’ watches too!

  • Anonymous

My Canadian friend (you have a beautiful country
which I have visited often), you are the one who brought up the opinion of
others and I just added commentary on that aspect of your post.

  • LJB57

“but the rest of the planet has an opinion when it comes to American actions”

…those are your words taken from your post…it seems to include the word “opinion”

  • Anonymous

I’m from the far away country of Brooklyn NY.

  • LJB57

Ahh Brooklyn, word has it, a Tree grows there.
    (just kidding)

We’re practically Neighbors, I’m just next door, in Southern, Ontario.
