Letterman Continues His Palin Assault

letterman_7-8 It was just last month when the whole David Letterman vs Sarah Palin feud heated up, forcing an “apology” (and then an actual apology) from the Late Night host after some crude jokes about the Governor’s daughter. Now that Palin is weeks from leaving office, will Letterman still be part of the storyline? Of course he will.

Fox News’ morning show Fox & Friends spent five segments today discussing Letterman’s Palin jokes last night (It was also one segment on CNN’s American Morning). Co-host Gretchen Carlson introduced one, saying, “David Letterman apparently hasn’t learned his lesson.”

The jokes ranged from how she “waved goodbye to Russia,” to “Insiders believe she hopes to be the next Octomom.”

“Thank God I didn’t say anything,” joked Letterman. There was also a Top 10 list.

While the material was slightly edgier than Monday night, there were none that were especially boycott-worthy. Saying he “hasn’t learned his lesson,” is disingenuous. He’s not making jokes about her daughter having sex anymore, but you can’t be a late night comedian and not make Sarah Palin jokes. (Note: The Daily Show returns Monday.)

The fairly mild jabs from Letterman, but mainly the reaction, only prove he’ll remain her foil: someone from the “Outside” who just doesn’t get the real folks. The storyline will continue, no matter where Palin eventually ends up.

I just went to snopes.com and it’s finally there: ‘FALSE’ next to the myth that ‘Liberals are Tolerant.’ I nave never seen a bunch of angrier, enraged, unhappy, and bitter people than media personalities who just happen to be Liberals first & foremost. And to think that ‘Their Peeps’ are running the effing country! What does Letterman do between shows, stick small dogs in his microwave?

What a horse crap headline. What assault? Assault is when you verbally threaten someone, not ridicule them for being a quitter. Lettermans job is to go after people who do stupid and ignorant things in the public view. What better person to do that than her. Maybe she can get the US Dept of Law to help her against Letterman. Oh there is no such department? She is nothing but a cry baby and her husband belongs to a terrorist organization. Palin is a quitter. She belongs to a narrow group of extremist who want to remake this country into a christian nation. Something the founders were adamantly against and so are a large majority of Americans. The 21% who worship her are a bunch of christofascist like her. What is the difference between a full term governor who fills out their full term and a full term governor who quits after two years?
