Have You Been Waiting For Megyn Kelly To Discuss Cannibalism? Your Wait Is Over!

Fox’s America Live host Megyn Kelly has dealt with some pretty serious, harrowing situations in her day, and now she’s maintaining her reputation as a reporter who isn’t afraid to delve deep into even the most unsavory of stories by covering an incredibly taboo topic: Cannibalism!

Her guest this afternoon was Piers Gibbon, an explorer, author and host of a National Geographic special on cannibalism (airing Sunday). He discussed a tribe in Papua New Guinea that eat other human beings as a form of justice. He explains that this group kills, and then consumes, those whom they believe have caused harm on their village in the form of, say, “causing” an illness. According to Gibbs, this happens because the tribes people no longer see the suspected culprit as being human, but a witch who much be destroyed.

“How often does this happen?” asked a visibly concerned Kelly. “This is not something that happens all the time,” Gibbon responded. “And, for them, it would be something maybe once every six months, they would…” Kelly interrupted him with the rather emphatic observation that “That’s often enough!”

Ok, ok, but let’s get down to the morbid, sensational, chilling nitty gritty: What do people taste like? Are we more filet mignon or filet o’fish? According to Gibbon, the tribe claims people meat is “rather delicious.”

Delicious and illegal, kids, so don’t get any ideas.

    Cannibalism is vile…disgusting…primitive.
    Now, vampirism…that’s where it’s at.

    Eating people = gross
    Drinking people = ssssexy

  • BFD

Must be running out of things to complain about over on Fox News.

Megyn could give a blow by blow account of the aesthetics of Hillary Clinton vs. Janet Napolitano with pictures and everything-as long as I know the beautiful Megyn will fill my TV set again soon I can bear unspeakable pain.

I know she is pregnant and pregnant women get hungry, but jeez Megan, don’t get any funny ideas.

If vegetarians eat vegetables, what do humanitarians eat? OK, I couldn’t resist.

    Speaking of eating humans:

    LOOK AT HER

    She is SO HOT

In my top 5 of HOT tv hosts. I wonder what she is doing this weekend with her little show, and her little news reading. I bet she has nice feet.

I once watched a doc about life in North Korea. thay said since the country is in a serious famine it is rumored that some people are killed and there flesh is sold as pork to unknowing people. The crazy part is the people who eat the meat can’t tell the difference.

Q: What do people taste like?
    A: Pork, Allegedly

Interesting segment and though I don’t know how successful it may have been for actually getting viewers for the program, I’m sure it generated some buzz and increased awareness of the station.

Toward that latter point and I don’t mean this as a cheap shot or a criticism , but I noticed that in the clip, Ms. Kelly didn’t disclose that through another subsidiary, News Corp is an owner of the National Geographic Channel. (It’s a joint venture of the National Geographic Society and the Fox Cable Group).

A few years ago, there was a movement asking CNN to disclose their relationship with HBO, Warner Brothers and other entities in which their parent has a stake. I’m not sure they do it every time, but my memory and a quick Google shows that they actually provide some disclosures. Now, I don’t watch enough of Fox News to know whether they disclose before promoting Fox films, programs from Fox Studios or News’ print properties, but in the clip Megan didn’t provide one, yet the relationship appears to be similar.

    WHO CARES ????????

Secondly, cannibalism has never been a TABOO topic,in fact people discuss it all the time. But I suppose it added to your article.

I noticed the video ran a little past the subject of the story. Has anyone asked the spirits who is at fault for the high cost of gasoline?
