Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi Punched In Face At Rally; See The Bloody Aftermath (VIDEO)

berlusconi460_1542682cIf you read the internet at all, expect a lot of jokes about this in the coming days: Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi was punched in the face at a rally on Sunday. Really, guys — sucker punches? Have you no honor?

Reports are slim on details thus far, except to say that the 73-year-old Rupert Murdoch + George Steinbrenner + Tiger Woods + George W. Bush + more scandals hybrid leader was clocked while signing autographs in Milan. Some reports claim a young protester hit Berlusconi. “State TV showed Berlusconi with blood on his lips as he was lifted to his feet by aides,” Fox News is reporting.

CBS News has even less information, so far. Check the screenshot:

Mediaite, on the other hand, has video of the aftermath! Yikes:

And even more footage:

Amazingly, the perpetrator of the vicious punch, yep, the same New Yorker gym teacher that punched “Snookie” from the Jersey Shore!

Notice how Mediaite isn’t reporting this tiny little bit of news out today: (ya gotta remember who’s running this site, NBC’s uber-left Dan Abrams of course)

Barack Obama’s presidential approval index number has dropped to -19.
Obama has dropped a stunning 49 points in less than one year.
In less than a year Obama has lost the independents. Only 21% strongly support his radical agenda while 49% of independents strongly disapprove.
    Rasmussen reported:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 23% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -19.

Today is the second straight day that Obama’s Approval Index rating has fallen to a new low. Prior to the past two days, the Approval Index had never fallen below -15 during Obama’s time in office (see trends).

The 23% who Strongly Approve matches the lowest level of enthusiasm yet recorded. Just 41% of Democrats Strongly Approve while 69% of Republicans Strongly Disapprove. Among voters not affiliated with either major party, 21% Strongly Approve and 49% Strongly Disapprove.

Real Clear Politics has more on Obama’s decline.

Berlusconi is something close to a dictator-Mafia leader, covered by a sham veneer of democracy and free markets… his control of the media in Italy is near total, much more than Murdoch- Clear Channel here…. violence like this is never “good”, but you can understand the frustration that can build up among those who do understand what has been going on, and who feel completely powerless to change anything for the better, while super-rich Berlusconi gets away with every sort of crime…..
