What a yawner of a story – attempting to make something of nothing.  WOW.

It’s not her fault, it’s the subject (Romney) in discussion. 

It is a very stupid story but someone on set must have given the girls parents (I’m guessing) a heads up since they changed sides of the booth with her and her brother (I’m guessing) so she isn’t seen as well anymore.

She did yawn throughout the Chris Matthews interview as well before they changed seats….embarrassing….poor kid.

Have you noticed that Willard never, never varies from a few well-rehearsed, tired and trite talking points? When he is forced to do so, in debates, he stammers and stalls with questions like: “Is it my turn?” or “Are you asking me?”. Or, we get these blank spaces during which his forehead goes all exaggerated and his eyes seem hollow. During speeches, when Willard realizes the crowd is glazing over, he then starts reciting random sectiosn of the Pledge of Allegiance or  “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” or the Constitution/Declaration of Independence (which he invariably confuses, one with the other). I am not suggesting that this is a disqualification, but he is not really much of a speaker, and he doesn’t seem to be nearly as intelligent as he believes himself to be. I assume that is why the FOX “News” people are now embracing him.

My cat, FD Roosevelt, frequently yawns during “Masterpiece Theater”.

To see the phonies embrace him is painful and embarrassing to watch. 

This just proves the point of low ratings. No ratings = Boring Obama-endorsed re-election TV.

Investigative journalism at its finest.  The Nation owes a debt of gratitude.

No it’s not; it’s a function of her age & (lack of) engagement. This is a stupid thing to do, to take some youngster years short of being practically interested in any of the inside baseball we’ve come to expect from Morning Goe to be able to sustain focus. 

Also, why is it that we equate yawning with boredom? Most of the time it’s not that at all; by far the most common cause of yawning has to do with the person suffering from some level of sleep deprivation. 

Rubbish! I yawn when am not engaged in what am doing.

They don’t call it broing joe for nothing ?  I don’t know why this is such a shock to peolpe. Between being broing and talking down peolpe. It’s why there rating suck.

This is a sound observation, but we should consider why he’s doing this.  

First, it’s because Frank Luntz, the GOP media consultant, came up with the ludicrous “Obama can’t talk without a teleprompter” meme, & he’s advised all the GOP contestants to refrain from teleprompters to ‘brand’ them differently from this meme. It shows the weakness of the meme, because in having to perform so often without teleprompters in situations where teleprompters are useful in conveying message, the Luntz idea has proven to have unintended consequences, dangers & hazards for GOP contestants. But I’m not sure they’re able to do this any other way, because the winger machine has been so consistent & insistent on this stupid meme, it’s become too risky for them to do the smart thing & use teleprompters & thereby get accused of hypocrisy. Just one of those ill-conceived opporunistic ideas that should have been strangled to death on inception.  

Second, Romney is straddling two quite different campaigns, one aimed at wrapping up the GOP nomination as efficiently as possible & the other aimed at independent voters, & the intended audience differs on many, many points of policy. For example, he can’t achieve the first without pandering to a number of extremist elements in the GOP, notably the Tea Party; but pandering to the Tea Party is pretty much the worst thing one can do in trying to attract independent votes, because the TP movement (Birchers, really) has a negative connotation with 4 of ever 5 independent voters. So, it’s really impossible, & the effort to do achieve this impossible goal is working to permanently color Romney as a flip-flopper & a liar & untrustworthy (Those are his true colors anyway, but emphasizing them isn’t smart.).

Sherlock is the best show on since Six Feet Under.  Though they should really change the name to “Whatever is popular on the BBC”

the show sucks now that it is the DNC power hour … heck i used to listen to it driving back when there was an opposing view from time to time….. and now it almost ends me up in a ditch since it is ran by Mika and her emails and text from Obama to steer the discussion to the presidents agenda
