The Daily Show‘s “Sanity Bus” Reaches Its Final Destination, With Jerry Stiller and Ann Meara?
The Daily Show’s “Rally To Restore Sanity Bus” series concluded last night with another clip praising political moderation—though this one also featured a few special guests.
“We were headed to Washington, D.C. with five rally-goers from across the political spectrum—and an actual Muslim!” says Jason Jones as the clip begins. Throughout the rest of the segment, he and John Oliver tell us what they’ve learned through this exercise—namely, that “reasonable people make lousy television”—as Wyatt Cenac somehow finds himself in a car with Jerry Stiller and Ann Meara.
Even if we didn’t always agree with the way that these segments were put together, they have been a nice reminder that sane Americans do exist. The clip is below.
