Trump Denies WH Infighting on Middle East Policy, Decries ‘Fake News’ NY Times and WaPo
President Donald Trump took to Twitter this afternoon to deny there’s “infighting” in his administration following reports from what he decried as the “Fake News.”
As the New York Times reported this week, “there are sharp divisions in the administration over how to respond to Iran at a time when tensions are rising about Iran’s nuclear policy and its intentions in the Middle East.”
The president lashed out on Twitter this afternoon at the “Fake News” and denied there’s any infighting:
The Fake News Washington Post, and even more Fake News New York Times, are writing stories that there is infighting with respect to my strong policy in the Middle East. There is no infighting whatsoever….

….Different opinions are expressed and I make a decisive and final decision – it is a very simple process. All sides, views, and policies are covered. I’m sure that Iran will want to talk soon.
