Travis Tritt Roundly Mocked for Going on Twitter Blocking Frenzy After Canceling Shows at Venues with Covid Safety Measures

Country singer Travis Tritt is getting brutally mocked on Twitter for going on a blocking frenzy after announcing that he would cancel shows at venues with Covid-19 safety measures in place.
Tritt announced Tuesday that he would be cancelling shows in Indiana, Mississippi, Illinois and Kentucky, as venues in those states are requiring either a mask, a negative Covid-19 test result, or proof of vaccination for concertgoers.
“I totally disagree with any mandate that would force people to go against their better judgement or would attack their personal freedoms,” Tritt told Billboard, clarifying that he is “not against the vaccine,” but is “against forcing people to take medicine that they may not need and may not want.”
“That’s why I am making this stand,” he added. “And I know, straight up, it’s definitely gonna cost me money and that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make.”
That same day, perhaps due to the backlash he received from his announcement, Tritt went on a Twitter blocking spree, and his victims could not help but roast him for the move:

Maybe the NY Jets should hire Travis Tritt. He’s blocked more people today than their offensive line has all season.

You don’t get blocked by Travis Tritt just for yourself — you do it for your relatives and loved ones as well. You do it for your community. https://t.co/iNDqyFSX1G

Just found out that Travis Tritt blocked me.
I’ve never interacted w/him,
or criticized him for being anti-vax.
I’ve often praised his cover of Elvis’ “Burning Love.”So I guess it’s ok to point out
that homeboy’s clearly not afraid
of injecting toxic things
into his forehead. pic.twitter.com/B7A1dJtMkr— John Fugelsang (@JohnFugelsang) October 19, 2021
I’m all of a sudden blocked by someone named Travis Tritt, who I think is a Las Vegas street Illusionist. pic.twitter.com/9i9dX3SjnT

You know it’s bad when the most relevant thing an artist has done in decades is block people from Twitter … @Travistritt you’re just embarrassing yourself at this point.

Slept in my Travis Tritt shirt last night and woke up having blocked all you guys.
Is that the way this works?

Personally, I won’t let anyone into my films at the theater unless they prove they are blocked by Travis Tritt. It’s the new vaccine card.

Off topic but were you blocked by TRAVIS TRITT?

I have never heard of Travis Tritt (the country music singer who says he won’t hold concerts in any venue that requires masks or proof of vaccination), but I guess he’s heard of me. ??♂️ pic.twitter.com/u5ZodB5lYn

This is total bullshit. I mean, especially since Travis Tritt is my 304th favorite solo male country singer of 1991. pic.twitter.com/llreBbHQhB

I have never heard of Travis Tritt until he trended and I saw he blocked me without any interaction. This is devastating to me because I never got the chance to call him a dumb antivax MAGA fuck.

Want to know why Travis Tritt blocks everyone with an opposing view whether they’ve interacted with him or not?
The truth doesn’t matter being questioned, but a lie doesn’t like being challenged.
