Daily Wire Jabs AOC and Kamala Harris for Supporting ‘DEI in the Streets’ While Being ‘Colonized’ in the Sheets

Right-wing outlet The Daily Wire mocked several female Democratic politicians for supporting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion measures while they are in romantic relationships with white men in an X post on Monday.

The post blasted Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and ex-Vice President Kamala Harris for being hypocrites who love diversity in the corporate and political worlds, but not in their bedrooms.

“DEI in the streets, colonized in the…” read the post’s caption. The outlet left out the word “sheets,” which usually finishes off the phrase.

The Daily Wire — which was co-founded by Ben Shapiro in 2015 and is still home to his show — then rolled pictures of Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, and Harris alongside their white partners, all while “Be My Baby” by The Ronettes played in the background.

Several other liberals were called out as well. The post showed photos of Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), Boston Mayor Michelle Wu (D), Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, and Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate Francesca Hong (D), who made headlines last week when she did a complete 180 on her call to cancel Thanksgiving.

Anti-MAGA pundit Don Lemon and his husband were included in the montage too.

The post comes as AOC has been in the news the last few days after she announced she was freezing her eggs.

“So I have decided to start the process of freezing my eggs,” Ocasio-Cortez told ABC on Sunday. “And in this political environment where this administration is denying reproductive care to women across the country, from abortion rights to the ability to carry out a healthy pregnancy. Uh, I think it’s important for us as leaders to have these conversations, conversations, and share these processes, especially for working women across the country, and normalize them.”

Ocasio-Cortez got engaged to her fiancé Riley Roberts in 2022; the couple has been together for more than a decade.
