WATCH: Cardi B Literally Launches Pen at Man Outside Courtroom After Being Cleared of Assault

Rapper Cardi B threw a pen at a man in a wild scene outside a Los Angeles courtroom this week following her being cleared in her assault trial.

Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, was accused by a security guard of assaulting her in 2018 at a Beverly Hills medical office. Emani Ellis claimed Cardi B hit her, spat on her, and scratched her face after she recorded the musician without permission. Cardi B was pregnant at the time and trying to keep the news private.

The jury deliberated for less than an hour on Tuesday before reaching their decision. Ellis told reporters she plans on appealing the decision, while Cardi B maintained that she never touched Ellis.

As Cardi B approached press outside the courtroom on Tuesday, a man asked her a “disrespectful” question about “paternity issues” in her relationship with New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

“Cardi, insiders are claiming Offset is publicly bragging about getting you pregnant for the fourth time. Do you foresee any paternity issues with Stefon Diggs?” the man asked.

Cardi B then threw a pen in his direction.

“Stop disrespecting me! Don’t disrespect me,” she said.

“I still love you even though you just threw some stuff at me,” the man responded.

“I don’t care. You’re disrespectful. Don’t do that. Do you see women asking those type of questions to me?” Cardi B said, telling the man to show more “respect” to women.

Cardi B said outside the courtroom that she was “nice” during this trial, but she will countersue any future “frivolous” lawsuits.

“The next person that tries to do a frivolous lawsuit against me, I’m going to countersue and I’m going to make you pay,” she said.
