A social media post by Vice President JD Vance over four years ago has resurfaced hours after a bombshell email drop revealed that President Donald Trump once spent “hours” with a Jeffrey Epstein victim at the notorious sex trafficker’s home.

In the X post, shared on Sept. 4, 2021 — long before he was in the conversation to become Trump’s running mate in the 2024 election — Vance said, “I think about this @matthewwalther column about once a month,” with a link to the Matthew Walther piece in The Week titled, “The Jeffrey Epstein case is why people believe in Pizzagate.”

Vance also included a reply to his own post, saying, “Remember when we learned that our wealthiest and most powerful people were connected to a guy who ran a literal child sex trafficking ring? And then that guy died mysteriously in a jail? And now we just don’t talk about it.”

Walther’s opinion piece, posted on July 8, 2019, poses the question, “Was Trump speaking from personal experience when he said in 2002 that Epstein ‘likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side’?”

The old post is coming back to bite Vance after the release of several emails between Epstein, his alleged “madam” Ghislaine Maxwell, and author Michael Wolff, one of which includes Epstein saying one of his victims “spent hours at my house with [Trump].”

CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski was among those reposting Vance’s tweet on Wednesday, shortly after the email report dropped.

While they enjoy a fruitful relationship today, Vance and Trump were not always besties.

Back in 2016, Vance was a never-Trumper, going so far as to famously call the president “America’s Hitler.” But the two later warmed up to each other ahead of Trump’s 2024 presidential bid and became political allies.
