Baby Deer Breaks Into Hair Salon and Trashes the Place: ‘Just Stop, Bro’

Iowa Police ordered a baby deer to “chill” after responding to a burglary-in-progress call at a local salon.

The Keokuk Police Department shared body cam footage this week of officers responding to a deer that had gotten into the Tangles Hair Salon through a broken window.

In the footage, an officer can be heard telling the deer, “Just stop bro, I know you’re freaking out, chill for a second,” as it attempted to escape through another window.

The deer attempted to escape through the window but was eventually captured with the help of a catch pole by officers and led out of the salon.

The animal had clearly made a mess of the salon while trying to escape. It could be seen running into the closed window multiple times after slipping on loose objects spread across the floor.

After the responding Iowa officer arrived at the scene of the “burglary-in-progress,” he saw the deer running and radioed fellow officers to let them know the “burglar” was a little furrier than most.

The incident occurred earlier this month, but the body cam footage was released on Tuesday.

“Officers responded to a burglary in progress call that turned out to be a bit more ‘wild’ than expected,” the Keokuk Police Department wrote in a social media post sharing the video. “The suspect’s description was given as approximately 4 feet tall, with a furry appearance, and having ‘doe’ brown eyes.”
