CNN Anchor Drops Pile Of Receipts On Trump Over Rant To Bondi
CNN anchor Abby Phillip dropped a pile of receipts on President Donald Trump to portray him as a hypocrite over his rant to Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Trump publicly pressured Bondi to go after his enemies this weekend, first in a DM-style Truth Social post and again in remarks to reporters.
Trump wrote:
Pam: I have reviewed over 30 statements and posts saying that, essentially, ‘same old story as last time, all talk, no action. Nothing is being done. What about Comey, Adam “Shifty” Schiff, Leticia??? They’re all guilty as hell, but nothing is going to be done.’ Then we almost put in a Democrat supported U.S. Attorney, in Virginia, with a really bad Republican past. A Woke RINO, who was never going to do his job. That’s why two of the worst Dem Senators PUSHED him so hard. He even lied to the media and said he quit, and that we had no case. No, I fired him, and there is a GREAT CASE, and many lawyers, and legal pundits, say so. Lindsey Halligan is a really good lawyer, and likes you, a lot. We can’t delay any longer, it’s killing our reputation and credibility. They impeached me twice, and indicted me (5 times!), OVER NOTHING. JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED, NOW!!! President DJT
On Monday’s edition of CNN NewsNight, Phillip opened her show by calling Trump out with a slew of clips she said demonstrate Trump and his allies opposing the exact “weaponization” he now demands from Bondi:
ABBY PHILLIP: Tonight, there’s no sense in hiding it.
President Trump essentially sending a D.M. to Pam Bondi, but the entire world saw it. He urged the attorney general to prosecute his enemies, literally. On a Truth Social, Trump told Bondi that he sees “people saying, what about Comey, Adam Shifty Schiff, Letitia? They’re all guilty as hell, but nothing is going to be done. Then he said that they can’t delay any longer. It’s killing our reputation and credibility. They impeached me twice and indicted me five times over nothing. Justice must be served now!!!”
Three exclamation points on that one.
It’s the very thing that Trump and his fellow Republicans have railed against for years.
