‘Do You Want Me To Bring The Dog Out Here?’ Jean-Pierre Mocks After Grilling About If She Was Ever Afraid of Commander Biden

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre mockingly offered to bring First Dog Commander Biden into the briefing room after being grilled about her relationship with the dog following his ouster from the White House.

Amid a slew of newly-revealed biting incidents, Commander is now being held in an undisclosed location away from the White House, and at Thursday’s White House press briefing, Jean-Pierre got some pretty intense grilling from ABC News White House correspondent Nancy Cordes about whether she ever feared for her safety:

NANCY CORDES: Thanks, Frank. As someone who spends a fair amount of time in the Oval Office with the president, did you ever have a troubling encounter with Commander?

KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: No, not at all.

NANCY CORDES: And so he never nipped you?

KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: No.

NANCY CORDES: Were you ever wary of being around him?

KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: No.

NANCY CORDES: You know, most of the biting incidents that you had heard about?

KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: Absolutely not. And I’ve seen Commander many times, I was never worried and I’ve never been bit by Commander.

NANCY CORDES: Have any of your, have any of the members of your staff —

KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: What I can say. I don’t have numbers of of of of you know, exact numbers of of any incidents with Commander.

KJP then read a statement from First Lady Dr. Jill Biden’s comms director. But Cordes was not satisfied and drilled down, prompting another reporter to joke that Commander should answer questions and Jean-Pierre to ask if she should bring the pooch into the briefing room:

NANCY CORDES: I’m surprised, I’ve been bitten by a dog. If there was a dog that had bitten 11 or 12 other people. I’d be a little nervous around that dog. Why weren’t you?

KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: I mean (laughs) I’m not sure why this has to do anything with me. I was just not nervous at all. So that is not a concern for me. That is not something that, I can’t speak to anything else outside of what you have heard from the first lady’s office. And so I’ll just leave it there. All right.

REPORTER: Will you make the dog available for questioning?

KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: You want me to bring the dog into the briefing room? That should be fun. That should be fun.

Another reporter asked after Commander’s whereabouts, which Jean-Pierre declined to give.
