Donald Trump Jr. Delivers Spot-On Impression of Dad During Charlie Kirk Memorial Speech

Donald Trump Jr. lightened the mood at Sunday’s memorial for slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk by performing an impression of his dad, President Donald Trump.

Tens of thousands of mourners packed the State Farm Stadium plus an overflow venue in Glendale, Arizona, to honor Kirk, who was gunned down on Sept. 10 as he spoke at Utah Valley University.

“I’m not widely known for being a sentimental guy,” Don Jr. began his remarks. “Anyone who’s seen me on social media knows I’m far more likely to crack a joke or posting some grossly inappropriate memes than I am to shed a tear.”

He then pointed up to a stadium sky box when the president sat behind bulletproof glass.

“I know this because I’ve even gotten a call from that guy a couple of times. ‘You know, Don. Don, You’re getting a little aggressive on social media, Don. Relax,'” he said, doing his best Donald Trump impression.

The crowd roared with laughter, and Trump could be seen laughing and waving down to his son.

Don Jr. then grew somber, saying he was “truly devastated” when he received word that Charlie had been assassinated, saying he considered the Turning Point USA founder to be “like a little brother.”

“I want to start where I know Charlie would want me to, with what was most important to him, and that was his relationship with Christ,” Don Jr. said to wild applause. “To say Charlie knew more about the Bible than me is an understatement, folks. It’s like saying Donald Trump knows more about being president than Hillary Clinton or Kamala Harris. No kidding!”

After the crowd died down, Don Jr. continued, “But when Charlie was asked in an interview how he would want to be remembered, he said, ‘I want to be remembered for my courage, for my faith.'”

Don Jr. then told the story of St. Stephen, who was considered the first Christian martyr who said, as he was being stoned, “Behold, I see the heavens open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

“Today that gives me great comfort because 11 days ago, as a cowardly assassin crawled on his stomach to end Charlie’s life on Earth, I am betting Charlie was the Son of God standing tall to welcome him home,” said Trump.
