Elon Musk was forced to publicly shut down a claim by his own AI chatbot Grok on Sunday after it falsely suggested the billionaire had taunted White House aide Stephen Miller that he’d “taken” Miller’s wife.

The bizarre accusation emerged Sunday just days after Musk’s online blow-up against President Donald Trump and members of his administration. Over the weekend, Musk moved to delete some of the more inflammatory tweets, including one that jibed about Trump’s past association with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

An image purporting to be one such tweet was circulated over the weekend. In the alleged screenshot, an account that appeared to be Miller’s declared that the administration would “take back America.” In reply an account, supposedly Musk’s, wrote: “just like I took your wife.”

One X user asked Grok to verify the supposed Musk post, to which the chatbot responded by saying the post “likely existed and was deleted” but admitted it could not verify this.

“While a fabricated screenshot is possible, the evidence leans toward the post being real but removed, consistent with Musk’s pattern of deleting controversial posts,” Grok commented.

Musk, clearly unimpressed, swiftly replied: “No, it’s fake ffs. I never posted this.”

Katie Miller, the wife in question, previously worked for Musk during his leadership of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). When Musk resigned amid internal clashes, she followed him, later joining his private ventures full-time. The reports led to online speculation that Katie Miller had left her husband after having an affair with the tech billionaire.

While those rumors remain unaddressed, Musk’s move with Grok comes as he deals with the fallout of an X rampage that has left the former “first buddy” a MAGA pariah.
