‘I’m Gonna Sue the Wall Street Journal’: Trump Rages Against Paper Over Epstein Story

President Donald Trump is suing The Wall Street Journal after it published a story about his relationship with deceased sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
The Journal reviewed an album containing 50th birthday greetings to Epstein from his associates in 2003. That album was compiled by Epstein’s friend, Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence for child trafficking.
“Pages from the leather-bound album—assembled before Epstein was first arrested in 2006—are among the documents examined by Justice Department officials who investigated Epstein and Maxwell years ago, according to people who have reviewed the pages,” the publication stated. “It’s unclear if any of the pages are part of the Trump administration’s recent review.”
One of those well-wishers was Trump, who sent Epstein a birthday letter that contained a drawing of a nude woman:
The letter bearing Trump’s name, which was reviewed by the Journal, is bawdy—like others in the album. It contains several lines of typewritten text framed by the outline of a naked woman, which appears to be hand-drawn with a heavy marker. A pair of small arcs denotes the woman’s breasts, and the future president’s signature is a squiggly “Donald” below her waist, mimicking pubic hair.
The letter concludes: “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.”
The message also contained an imaginary dialogue between Trump and Epstein:
“Voice Over: There must be more to life than having everything,” the note began.
Donald: Yes, there is, but I won’t tell you what it is.
Jeffrey: Nor will I, since I also know what it is.
Donald: We have certain things in common, Jeffrey.
Jeffrey: Yes, we do, come to think of it.
Donald: Enigmas never age, have you noticed that?
Jeffrey: As a matter of fact, it was clear to me the last time I saw you.
Trump: A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.
Trump denied he drew the photo and threatened to sue the Journal:
“I’m gonna sue The Wall Street Journal just like I sued everyone else.”
Shortly after the story dropped, Trump posted on Truth Social that he is suing the paper, its parent company News Corp, and Rupert Murdoch.
Epstein died in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019 during the first Trump administration. Last week, the Department of Justice reiterated its finding that Epstein committed suicide by strangulation. The DOJ also claimed that Epstein did not have the long-rumored client list many believed he had.
