‘SQUAD!’ Trump Official Posts a Team Photo With Jeanine Pirro — Despite Trump’s Recent Attacks

Donald Trump’s Protocol Chief Monica Crowley posted a photo of the president’s “squad” on social media this weekend with one very interesting inclusion, given the president’s recent public reprimand.
Jeanine Pirro, U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C., appeared in the photo alongside Crowley, Medicare chief Dr. Mehmet Oz and his wife Lisa Oz, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and Jeanette Rubio, wife of Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Crowley wrote “SQUAD” in all caps with three red, white, and blue hearts.

Speculation has swirled over Pirro’s status within the Trump administration in the midst of the never-ending Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool debacle.
Pirro drew Trump’s ire by dropping a felony charge in the pool “vandalism” case against former Olympian David Hearn and others due to a dearth of evidence required for a successful prosecution.
When withdrawing the charge, Pirro acknowledged in her court filing that the damage to the pool’s lining “was the result of flawed installation” and a “rush to complete the project,” not vandalism.
That hasn’t stopped Trump from continuing to claim that the pool’s expensive blue bottom was cut away by someone with a knife or boxcutter, causing it to peel up and necessitate replacement.
Trump told reporters that Pirro “choked” and “folded like an umbrella” by dropping the charges, which he still claims to have video evidence to back up.
CNN’s Alayna Treene reported last week that Trump was “very strongly upset” that Pirro didn’t give him a heads up about her decision to drop the filing “that he’s considering removing her from her role.”
Several days before he was narrowly confirmed as full-time attorney general, Todd Blanche was asked if the president was planning to fire Pirro.
“Hypothetically, if the president chose to fire a United States attorney, it turns out he’s allowed to do that because he’s the president of the United States,” Blanche said. “And, by the way, if President Trump wanted to fire anybody within his administration, he understands he has the power to do that. So when he makes a decision about whether to fire a U.S. attorney or anybody else, that’s his call.”
Blanche is replacing former Attorney General Pam Bondi who was reportedly fired over her handling of the Epstein files.
