Tara Palmeri Calls Out Piers Morgan for Platforming ‘Conspiracy Theories’ That Virginia Guiffre ‘Was Killed’ by Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘Powerful Friends’: ‘Shame On You!’
Journalist Tara Palmeri called out Piers Morgan for what she argued was exploitation of Jeffrey Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre’s death — accusing the British broadcaster of giving airtime to “conspiracy theories” from Guiffre’s father that his daughter may have been “killed” by Epstein’s “powerful friends.”
Giuffre was found dead at her farm in Neergabby, Western Australia on April 25. She had been seriously injured in a car crash in March and was reportedly separated from her husband, with whom she had three children. The family issued a statement one week later stating that she took her own life.
Palmeri, writing in her Red Letter Substack on Sunday, slammed Morgan for platforming Giuffre’s estranged father, Sky Roberts, and fueling speculation that she was “offed” instead of dying by suicide, as her family said in a statement.
“Shame on you, Piers Morgan, for platforming her father whom she hasn’t spoken to in years!” Palmeri wrote. “Just last month Roberts had to comment on Giuffre’s Instagram post because they didn’t have a relationship. He had no idea how much his daughter suffered.”
The move follows an episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored which aired on Thursday in which Roberts echoed online speculation about Giuffre’s death, which Palmeri said has been pushed by major MAGA players like Laura Loomer and Donald Trump Jr..
Palmeri called said speculation “disgraceful” and an affront to her friend’s legacy.
Palmeri, who worked with Giuffre on the investigative podcast Broken: Jeffrey Epstein, said the rumors now swirling about her “desecrate her life’s mission to stand up for the vulnerable.”
“In so many ways, these conspiracies — propagated by everyone from Donald Trump Jr. to Laura Loomer… desecrate her life’s mission,” Palmeri wrote. “The shameful narrative that she was offed… fails to recognize the emotional pain she suffered from a lifetime of sexual abuse.”
Palmeri added: “She was one of the bravest people I have ever met.”
In response to Palmeri’s remarks, Morgan replied:
Giuffre’s story was one of the central forces propelling the media’s years-long scrutiny of Epstein’s network and his powerful connections – including Britain’s Prince Andrew, who settled a sexual assault lawsuit with her in 2022. Prince Andrew denies any wrongdoing.
