Trump-Aligned Trash Tycoon Rides on Garbage Truck in Wild Political Ad for Mitch McConnell’s Seat: ‘Garbage Day in Kentucky’

The Kentucky political scene is getting trashy.
Nate Morris, a lifelong Kentucky resident and entrepreneur, rode around in a garbage truck in a bizarre political ad as he seeks the Senate seat of outgoing Republican Mitch McConnell, whose term ends in January 2027.
“It’s garbage day in Kentucky,” begins the ad, which dropped on Morris’ X account Friday. “And thanks to Mitch McConnell, things have gotten dirty. The Bluegrass State is sick and tired of cleaning up career politicians’ messes.”
Enter Morris, riding on the back of a garbage truck to clean up the streets, including cardboard cutouts of McConnell and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
As the ad goes on, Morris is seen tossing a welcome mat that reads “¡Hola!” into the back of his truck — a jab at amnesty for illegal migrants — along with a box of gavels to snipe at “RINO judges.”
Morris is the founder of Rubicon Industries, one of the largest trash and recycling companies in the country. Morris’ campaign logo even includes a garbage truck.
Kentucky voters head to the polls to vote for McConnell’s Senate replacement on Nov. 3, 2026.
