Trump Issues Grim Warning to Americans as Migrants Seen Pouring Into Ceuta, Spain: ‘That’s Going to Be Us’

President Donald Trump issued a grim warning for the United States on Friday after thousands of migrants overwhelmed the border of Ceuta, Spain.

Fox News senior White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich wrote on X that she spoke to Trump about the situation unfolding in Ceuta, and he warned America could be headed down the same path soon.

“It’s terrible. Remember that picture. That’s going to be us in three years if the wrong side gets in,” Trump told her.

He added, “If the Democrats get in, you will not live a very good life.”

Spain deployed its military after thousands of migrants flooded its border with Morocco, and dozens of migrants have died in the crossings.

Rachid Sbihi, the leader of an association representing Spain’s Civil Guard officers in Ceuta, told the Associated Press that thousands have crossed Ceuta’s border, but precise numbers are hard to calculate.

“The situation is absolute chaos,” Sbihi said. “It’s not possible to give precise numbers, but there are thousands of migrants crossing.”

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez arrived in Ceuta on Friday and called the situation “a violation of Spain’s territorial integrity.”

“That has spread like wildfire during these last few hours through the networks of mafias that traffic in human beings and has produced an avalanche of the characteristics and dimension that we experienced yesterday,” he said.

Video and photos show massive groups of migrants, mostly men, flooding Ceuta through the Tarajal border area, many of them swimming past coastal barriers.

According to Sánchez, a temporary center is being set up by the military to document and deport all the migrants being captured.

This isn’t the first time this particular border has been overwhelmed.

In 2021, more than 8,000 migrants entered Spain in just two days, sparking a major border dispute between Spain and Morocco.
