University Chancellor Fired For Posting X-Rated Videos With His Wife And Porn Stars

The University of Wisconsin’s board of regents unanimously voted to fire the chancellor of its La Crosse campus after discovering that he and his wife had been posting adult content online that sometimes featured porn stars.

Sixty-three-year-old UW-La Crosse Chancellor Joe Gow was terminated Wednesday for actions the president called “abhorrent.”

“In recent days, we learned of specific conduct by Dr. Gow that has subjected the university to significant reputational harm. His actions were abhorrent,” said Universities of Wisconsin President Jay Rothman. He said the university has hired an outside law firm to investigate further.

Gow and his wife Carmen Wilson “appeared in OnlyFans videos and featured porn stars on their YouTube cooking channel” under the handle @SexyHappyCouple, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The paper reported that the couple appears on two other sites: PornHub and XHamster, and have written two books under pseudonyms. Reporters Kelly Meyerhofer and Rory Linnane wrote:

Gow told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel the creation of books and videos exploring consensual adult sexuality falls within his right to free speech under the First Amendment. He said he previously hid this part of his life but made a recent decision to reverse course and “be a little bit more open about these free speech issues.”

“There’s nothing said about the University of Wisconsin; there’s nothing said about the chancellor (on the videos),” he said after his firing. “So someone else would have to make those associations. And then someone would have to say those are problematic.”

This isn’t the first time Gow has run into trouble from his association with porn. He was denied a pay raise in 2018 after paying an adult actress $5,000 from his discretionary fund to address his students. He has since repaid the money.
