WATCH: Fox Correspondent Reads Out Trump ‘SCUM’ Rant — As Trump Laying Wreath for Fallen Soldiers Plays

Fox News correspondent Lucas Tomlinson recited President Donald Trump’s Memorial Day “SCUM” rant while video of Trump’s solemn wreath-laying ceremony played onscreen in a vivid illustration of the unusual weekend.

Trump is known for posting characteristically belligerent messages on holidays that are unlike the messages of past presidents, and this year’s Memorial Day message was no exception.

“HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO ALL, INCLUDING THE SCUM THAT SPENT THE LAST FOUR YEARS TRYING TO DESTROY OUR COUNTRY,” Trump’s post on Truth Social began, and continued in that vein for 150 words.

On Monday’s edition of Fox News Channel’s Fox News Live, the disconnect between Trump and his predecessors was underscored when Tomlinson read out Trump’s rant while video of the solemn wreath-laying at Arlington National Cemetery played onscreen:

LUCAS TOMLINSON: President Trump posting to Truth Social this morning saying quote “Happy Memorial Day including the SCUM that spent the last four years trying to destroy our country through warped radical left minds who allowed 21 million people to enter the country legally many of them criminals, the mentally insane through an open border that only an incompetent president would approve.”

As you can see here President Trump laying the wreath at Arlington National Cemetery Arlington, the final resting place, of course, over 400,000 Americans who have fought our nation’s wars as well as veterans and their dependents.
