‘All of a Sudden, Boom’: Cops Release Body Cam Footage of Tiger Woods Moments After Rollover Crash
Authorities have released body cam footage that shows Tiger Woods moments after the golf legend’s rollover crash in Florida last week.
The video, released on Thursday by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, shows Woods crouched down in the grass being examined by a first responder.
“I looked down at my phone, and all of a sudden, boom,” Woods is heard explaining.
The officer told the golfer that he didn’t see anything abnormal, “but we’re still going to have our medic check you out.”
“He’s OK,” the cop then tells another officer as Woods’ Range Rover is seen on its side in the road. “I just checked for anything on his back and didn’t feel anything.”
“Who hit him?” one of the cops asked.
A witness to the crash, who said he helped pull Woods out of the vehicle, pointed down the street and answered, “He hit the trailer,” before shrugging his shoulders and saying, “I don’t know.”
The driver of the trailer told cops that Woods “kept coming” as he was preparing to turn.
“I don’t think he was looking, that’s the thing,” he added.
Woods was later arrested and charged with a DUI after he was found to have hydrocodone pills and was seen with “glassy” eyes. Woods reportedly refused a DUI check at the scene.
In the police report, Woods told officers that he was looking at his phone and changing the radio station while behind the wheel and didn’t notice the car in front of him slowing down.
