‘Yeah, A Lot’: Unsuspecting Reporter Asks Utah Jazz Player If He’s Been To Any Jazz Games In Man-on-the-Street Interview

Jordan Clarkson interview by oblivious reporter

In her defense, reporter Hayley Crombleholme of KUTV in Salt Lake City does not cover sports for the station, but that didn’t make her inability to recognize Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson while asking him if he’s attended Jazz games any less awkward.

On Friday, Jazz host venue Vivint Arena announced fans wanting to attending games this upcoming season will need to show proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours of the game. To get a sense of what fans thought Crombleholme took to the street to get their reactions.

In one interaction, she seemed completely unaware she was interviewing Clarkson.

“So, did you go to any Jazz games?” she asked.

“Yeah, a lot,” came the pithy reply.

The worst part was that Crombleholme actually asked for Clarkson’s name, which he gave and spelled:

Clarkson played in 68 of the team’s 72 regular seasons last year and averaged 18.4 points per game.

After Crombleholme admitted the awkward moment, Clarkson tweeted some good-natured responses.
