Aaron Schock’s Downton Abbey Office Will Probably Outlast Him

ABC News’ Jonathan Karl penned the poetic kicker of The Spectacular Fall of Congressman Aaron Schock: the Downton Abbey-inspired office that first got his spending habits noticed, leading to the investigations that induced his resignation, will probably outlast him.

“As for that Downton Abbey office, it will go whoever is elected to replace him,” Karl said Wednesday, “and given that it will cost a lot of money to undo those decorations, the Downton Abbey styling will probably remain, at least for a while.”

Schock is basically the Ozymandias of Peoria.
