Blake Shelton Brings Awkward Version of Hee Haw to SNL Monologue

Country music star Blake Shelton hosted SNL this week, so for his monologue he decided to recreate the classic show Hee Haw in all its awkward, redneck glory.

“Here’s what we do, man. We’re going to the a little picking and grinning,” he told the cast. “You just play a little bit then you just tell a little joke. Like this, come on.”

The concept was a bit foreign for a bunch of New Yorkers, who seemed to think they were at a Comedy Central roast. The sketch was only allowed to end when they managed to make Leslie Jones laugh.
