Cuomo Grills Roger Stone: Do You Believe Trump ‘Will Pardon You for Keeping Your Mouth Shut?’

On the same day has he was arrested in Florida, Trump ally Roger Stone sat down with CNN’s Chris Cuomo to talk about the events of the day and what the now indicted Stone thinks may happen next.

Cuomo noted that it was “a ballsy move” coming on television so soon after taking on the charges.

“It makes me think you must believe there’s a light at the end of the tunnel,” Cuomo added. “You believe that light is not the train but that it is the president and he will pardon you for keeping your mouth shut.”

Stone insisted he has never talked to Trump or had any communication regarding a pardon.

“I have no idea what he might do,” Stone insisted.

“Would you accept one?” Cuomo pressed.

Stone said he didn’t expect to be convicted, “so I’m not going to address it. I don’t address hypothetical questions.”

Cuomo pressed further.

“Would you entertain cutting a deal or anything short of going to trial on these charges?” he asked.

“Again, you’re asking me to answer a hypothetical question without knowing any of the facts,” Stone replied before claiming, “I know that I am innocent.”

Cuomo pressed once again.

“You have been in a lot of jams over the years but not like this,” Cuomo probed. “Are you worried this isn’t going to go your way?”

Stone the said he believes in God and “know what I have and have not done.”

The Trump ally then plugged his own legal defense fund because he needs to “raise $2 million” and he’s “not a wealthy man.”
