Defiant Netanyahu Tells Hannity: ‘I’m Going to New York’ to Speak Truth in Front of ‘Hate-Spewing’ Mamdani

A defiant Benjamin Netanyahu told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Tuesday that he will come to New York City in September, despite calls by the Big Apple’s mayor, Zohran Mamdani, to arrest him.

Calling Mamdani a “lunatic,” Hannity brought up the mayor’s threat from days earlier, when he called for Netanyahu’s arrest for war crimes once he sets foot in New York in September for the UN General Assembly.

“He’s a war criminal who has been charged by the International Criminal Court,” Mamdani said earlier this month. “And what you will find is that is an opinion that is held by many, purely because of what his actions have wrought over these last many years.”

Netanyahu said Mamdani’s remarks won’t keep him out of the city that never sleeps.

“I’m definitely going there,” he said. “I’m gonna speak the truth in front of this, you know, this just hate-spewing elected official who’s pitting one group of New Yorkers against the others. He’s turning them against New York Jews. I mean, what are we, in the 1930s? What is this, you know? So much hate, so many lies.”

Netanyahu went on to call the ICC a “corrupt, evil organization.”

“It had a prosecutor who issued arrest warrants against me and our former defense minister as war criminals, supposedly for starvation, starving the people of Gaza,” he said. “We gave a million tons of food for them.”

SEAN HANNITY: And you’ve got this lunatic mayor in New York thinking you may get arrested if you go to New York, which will never happen.

BENJAMIN NETANYAHU: First of all, I’m going to New York. Yeah, I’d love to see you there when I go to the UN in September.

HANNITY: You know, I moved to Florida.

NETANYAHU: You know, you can take a plane. You can come. You’ve come to Washington, so you can go there. But I’m definitely going there. I’m gonna speak the truth in front of this, you know, this just hate-spewing elected official who’s pitting one group of New Yorkers against the others. He’s turning them against New York Jews. I mean, what are we, in the 1930s? What is this, you know? So much hate, so many lies. And, you know, the big lie is about the ICC, the International Criminal Court, so-called. That’s a corrupt, evil organization. It had a prosecutor who issued arrest warrants against me and our former defense minister as war criminals, supposedly for starvation, starving the people of Gaza. We gave a million tons of food for them. But he decided to do that, and we didn’t know, “Why did he do that?” He was going to come to Israel. And he said, you know, we shouldn’t rush to judgment. Israel has an independent judiciary. And then bam, on the day he’s supposed to come, he cancels the visit. We didn’t know why. It turns out that a few days before that, his chief of staff said, “You know, there’s this female member, employee of yours that is going to charge you with sexual assault.” And this corrupt prosecutor — his name is Karim Khan — he decided the only way he’s going to get out of this is to do, forgive the expression, to do a con job on the international community.

The sit-down with Hannity came hours after both he and Netanyahu attended the funeral of Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.

Ahead of the services, Netanyahu met with President Donald Trump at the White House for a conversation the prime minister later called “one of the best conversations I’ve had with the president.”
