WATCH: CNN Reveals Footage of U.S. Forces Responding to New Iranian Missile Attacks

CNN revealed footage on Tuesday evening of U.S. forces intercepting Iranian missiles targeting a U.S. military base.

John Berman, filling in for Anderson Cooper, played the footage a little over two hours after the attacks happened. CENTCOM said all missiles were successfully intercepted.

The footage of the attack shows U.S. air defense crews making retaliatory launches and stopping missiles from Iran’s “Revolutionary Guard Corps.” The footage was from the Syria-Jordan border. Iranian forces reportedly targeted a U.S. base in Jordan.

The attempted “surprise attack” followed Trump pausing days of strikes against Iran to give room for diplomatic talks. Trump warned on Friday morning on Fox News that if the talks don’t go well, he’s going to “go back and finish the job,” describing eliminated Iranian power plants and bridges.

Trump told Fox:

If I go back and finish up the job, as some people would like with bridges, very easy, I could take out most bridges in less than an hour. Less than an hour.

Takes them 10 years to build a bridge, bridges take longest and power plants are second, I could knockout power plants within one day all of their power plants would be gone. I let them know that, with negotiation. Look, people want me to do that.

The president reportedly backed off plans for a major attack last week in favor of peace negotiations. As Berman noted in his report, Iran responded “with missiles, not words.”

Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday to discuss the ongoing Iran war.

CENTCOM announced Tuesday’s attack approximately an hour after it occurred.

“At 5:45 p.m. ET today, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces launched multiple ballistic missiles from Iran in an attempted surprise attack on U.S. forces based in the Middle East. All Iranian missiles were successfully intercepted. U.S. forces remain vigilant and at a high state of readiness,” their statement reads.
