Fox & Friends Host Revel in the ‘War on Women at the New York Times’

The hosts of Fox & Friends reveled in the breaking story involving the dismissal of former New York Times Executive Editor Jill Abramson. Reports have indicated that a pay disparity between her and her male colleagues may have played a role in the company’s decision to remove her from that position. The hosts declared that the controversy at the Times proves that the “war on women” is real.

“Let’s talk about the war on women,” Fox host Steve Doocy began. “It is real, ladies and gentleman. But, it’s at the New York Times.”

“They say one thing in the pages of the New York Times and, yet, in the backroom they do something else,” he added.

Host Elisabeth Hasselbeck read off a series of examples of the Times decrying the gender-based pay disparity.

“There is a glimpse of the headlines with that banner of women’s rights and equal pay where it was going on apparently under their own roof,” she observed.

The hosts noted that sources have said that a variety of sources have indicated that the pay disparity issue was not the only issue that led to Abramson’s dismissal. Nevertheless, the “war on women is alive,” Doocy insisted, “at the New York Times.”
