Fox’s Maria Bartiromo Vows to Personally Call NY Governor’s Office to Ask Why Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg Hasn’t Been Fired
Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo vowed to call the office of New York Gov. Kathy Hochul to demand to know why Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg hasn’t been fired.
On Wednesday morning, the Fox Business anchor interviewed Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY), along with former Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY), about the impeachment articles for Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas.
Tenney falsely claimed Senate Democrats are refusing to bring up the impeachment articles because their party has a “lust for power,” though the House GOP has thus far not sent any impeachment articles for the Senate to bring up. She then shifted the conversation by claiming Democrats maintain power via election interference, lawfare, and malicious prosecution through prosecutors such as Bragg.
Bartiromo agreed with Tenney before vowing on-air to call Hochul’s office later today to demand Bragg’s removal.
TENNEY: It’s always politics with the Democrats. It is always politics. It is always about the lust for power. And that’s what they do. Everything they can, whether it’s election interference, whether it’s lawfare, this malicious prosecution by people and all they like, whether it’s Alvin Bragg, Letitia James, look at let me tell you something. If Lee Zeldin were our governor, he would have fired Alvin Bragg. And that was one of the things he ran on. Why hasn’t Kathy Hochul fired Alvin Bragg? She has said, I stand up for for the people of this state. Why hasn’t she fired this guy? She could easily do that. And he’s, you know, attacked, going after innocent citizens or law abiding citizens in New York instead of protecting us. And, and this malicious prosecution is what we face every day.
BARTIROMO: And that’s what the NYPD keeps telling us about recidivism. Why, governor Kathy Hochul, are you allowing recidivism? Why are you not firing Alvin Bragg for allowing criminals to keep doing it over and over again? We would like an answer. I’ll call your office today, Kathy Hochul. I’d love an answer.
Bragg is currently prosecuting former President Donald Trump in his New York hush money trial involving adult film actress Stormy Daniels.
