‘Get Your Head Out of Your A*s!’: Bill Maher Declares He’d Vote for Sarah Palin Over Progressive Dems

Bill Maher declared he’d vote for Sarah Palin over some progressive Democrats after warning that his vote is “in play.”

On Friday’s Real Time, Maher used his “new rule” segment to call out the Democratic Socialists of America and its members, like New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D).

Maher argued progressive Democrats either associate with DSA or call themselves progressive as a think veil to hide the fact that they’re “communists.”

He said:

Last month, two Democratic congressmen released an open pledge they wanted their fellow Democratic members to sign. It said, we are capitalists, not socialists. We want safety, not lawlessness. We are proud, not ashamed of America. These should not be hard words for a congressional Democrat to sign on to. You know how many did? Eight. Eight out of 212. Guys, really, there’s gotta be an easier way to lose the swing states.

Maher noted during his rant that President Donald Trump calling progressives out as “communists” is one of the few points they agree on.

“Trump has told one trillion lies, but when he says the Democratic Socialists of America are actually communist, that’s not one of them. And it’s not hard to prove it, just by quoting the DSA and their candidates,” he said.

He went on to quote Mamdani and others making what he called clearly “communist” declarations.

Maher told Democrats to “get your head out of your a*s” if you’re more upset by Trump’s White House renovations than what’s happening in the Democratic Party. He declared he’d vote for Palin, the former governor of Alaska and a common subject of Maher’s jokes once upon a time, before today’s progressives.

“It’s so funny, so many liberals sh*t themselves every time Trump puts gold on something in the Oval Office. Oh, it’s historic! And the separation of powers isn’t? Get your head out of your a*s. I would vote for Sarah Palin before this sh*t,” he said.

Maher added, “She’s a bimbo, but if you asked her to come up with something she likes about America, she could do it, you betcha.”
