‘Give Me a Number!’ Hannity Brawls With DSA Candidate Over How Much Elon Musk Should Be Taxed

Fox News anchor Sean Hannity went ballistic on a democratic socialist candidate for Congress who refused to give him a straight answer on how much he wanted to tax American citizens to fund his socialist agenda.

Hannity repeatedly asked Oliver Larkin to “Give me a number” on how much dough the candidate wanted the government to take during an interview on his Fox News program on Monday night.

Larkin — who is running to represent Florida in the House of Representatives — first answered by saying it depended on how much someone made, adding that he wanted to tax someone like Tesla and SpaceX boss Elon Musk into oblivion.

“I think that billionaires should be taxed out of existence,” he told Hannity.

Hannity groaned off-camera before ripping him for the reply.

“So you want to empower the government to take from the most creative providers, the most brilliant people in our country,” Hannity said.

After they squabbled over Musk a bit more, Hannity returned to his initial question.

“Somebody making $100,000 a year, how much of every dollar should they be able to keep?” Hannity asked.

“I think that the tax rate on most middle-class Americans-” Larkin began, but Hannity wasn’t having it.

“Give me a number,” Hannity interjected. “Oliver, give me a number.”

“Sean, it’s not that easy,” Larkin protested.

“No, $100,000, how much of every dollar should they be able to keep?” Hannity pressed on. “It’s a simple question.”

Larkin continued by saying, “I want to see a return on our taxpayer investment,” before Hannity cut him off again and insisted, “GIVE US A NUMBER!”

But Larkin wouldn’t give it to him. Larkin said he was not interested in raising taxes on the middle class and was more interested in targeting the “billionaire class.”

Hannity then pivoted to asking how much Americans who make $500,000 annually should be taxed. Again, Larkin dodged it by saying it should be “proportional,” which set Hannity off.

“Give me a number!” Hannity shouted. “Oliver, give me a number.”

His guest reiterated it was not that “simple” to answer, and things continued to devolve from there as the show headed into its commercial break. Hannity never ended up getting the number he was looking for.

Their interview came a day after President Donald Trump claimed “Black and Brown” Americans hate socialism and were “flocking” to the Republican Party due to the rise of democratic socialist candidates like Larkin.
