‘Inexcusable!’ Democrat Michigan Rep Prays on CNN That Hasan Piker Will Not Visit State Until After Election

Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI) is tired of people “dragging” her into Hasan Piker drama and said she prays he doesn’t visit her state until after the midterms.

Dingell joined CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on The Situation Room on Wednesday, where Blitzer wrapped up the interview by asking about Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed’s relationship to Piker, a far-left streamer who has faced backlash for numerous controversial statements, including saying the U.S. deserved the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

El-Sayed has defended campaigning and streaming with Piker and argued they do not agree on every issue, but Blitzer noted the Democrat’s campaign seems to be “somewhat” distancing itself from Piker.

“Nobody speaks for this campaign besides me and my campaign spokespeople,” El-Sayed said in his latest statement about Piker.

Dingell said she disagrees with colleagues on both sides of the political aisle and her goal is to get someone in the Senate who is not a “rubber stamp” for President Donald Trump. El-Sayed is running against Republican candidate Mike Rogers, who has Trump’s backing.

Dingell said:

Look, I’m going to say this to you. I’m tired of people trying to drag me into it. I strongly disagree with many of the things that Hasan Piker said, from Israel to, quite frankly, if you’re a woman who has fought against sexual violence and domestic violence her whole life, what he has said about rape, et cetera. is simply inexcusable.

I don’t understand some of the followers and why they follow people, and I got in trouble when I said maybe it’s generational. He works out and they say he looks buff.

What he has said is just wrong… what I know that this election is about in November is being able to reverse the health care cuts that we’ve had in this country, the millions of Americans that don’t have health care right now, the kids that are already going hungry, and seniors because we’ve cut the SNAP program, and we have to elect somebody that is not going to be a rubber stamp to the Trump policies we have seen the last two years.

I think it’s incumbent upon Abdul, to make it very clear to people that he doesn’t agree with things that Hasan Piker says.

I pray we’re not going to see him in Michigan from now until the election, but I’m focused on getting health care back for the people that I represent and people around this country.

I am the sponsor of the lead on medicare for all in the Congress. I think if you’re sick in this country, you should be able to go to the doctor when you need to go to the doctor and get the medicine that you need.
