Israel Spied on John Kerry During Last Year’s Peace Talks

According to Der Spiegel, Israel eavesdropped on Secretary of State John Kerry’s phone calls during last year’s attempt at peace talks between Israel and Palestinian organizations.

Per the German paper, Israel and at least one other intelligence agency listened in on a number of phone calls Kerry made on un-encrypted phone lines, and then used the information gained during the negotiations, which ultimately proved unsuccessful.

Kerry’s recent interpolation into the Israel-Hamas hostilities failed to produce even a ceasefire, and Israel is now pursuing unilateral military action in Gaza.
