Morning Joe Panel Roasts ‘Trump Apologist’ Bill Ackman For Dismissing Ex-President’s Reported Admiration Of Hitler

A Morning Joe panel on Friday roasted Pershing Square Capital Management CEO Bill Ackman for dismissing allegations of Donald Trump’s reported admiration for Adolf Hitler.

Earlier this week, Ex. Marine Gen. John Kelly, Trump’s former White House chief of staff, claimed the GOP nominee has praised the Nazi leader and wished that his generals were like Hitler’s generals in World War II.

The Trump campaign has denied the allegations while Kamala Harris has slammed the former president as a “fascist.” Meanwhile, Ackman, who frequently appears on CNBC, has called the allegations against Trump “absurd.”

“I just want to understand how he, as successful as he is and intelligent, seemingly as he is, could say that Donald Trump didn’t say those things. And if he did, he didn’t mean them, that Trump apologist route,” said Mika Brzezinski.

Meanwhile, CNBC anchor Andrew Sorkin told host Joe Scarborough that Ackman defends Trump because he “genuinely believes” Harris is not “as competent” to run the White House. Below is a transcript of the exchange.

SCARBOROUGH: Nobody would hire this guy. Bill Ackman wouldn’t hire this guy. You know that. Can you name a CEO that is supporting Donald Trump that would hire Donald Trump as a CFO?

SORKIN: I’m not going to defend the position…What I think is happening is someone like Bill Ackman on issues like Israel and other things believes, genuinely believes, that Vice President Harris is not as competent. I think this is the argument. I’m not saying that’s the case. I’m saying they believe this to be the case.

SCARBOROUGH: They don’t believe that. They just cannot believe that, they really believe of somebody — they can’t be that ignorant.
